Please feel free to browse. I don't have a lot of room to hold stock and I have so much material that hasn't even seen daylight yet!! So many ideas! If you have any ideas of your own then please ask and I can see what I can do!!
This is where to find all the coats, waterproofs, fleeces, pyjamas and doggy snoods.
Most of these have been trialled and come recommended by the Directors of the Company George and Diamond or their doggy friends.
I design my own ribbon for the collars and leads but I have stopped stocking them and just get them made up as and when somebody asks me. Please contact me for all designs available and prices. You can see some examples on my Facebook page in the Collars and Leads Photograph Album.
A full Martingale is the traditional collar for Sighthounds and the design covers the full circumference. Whereas a reduced Martingale is closed with 25mm webbing which results in less bulk at the front of the neck.
Matching leads are also available for some designs. Please ask if you need any advice on measurements etc.
I've created this category to make it easier to shop by sizes, although if there is nothing you like please feel free to have a look in the other sizes as I may well be able to make you something up or tell you what material I have in stock to make you one.
I have been asked by LickiMat to see if their products would be popular in my shop. They have sent me these trial samples to test them out. As they are donated samples I will make sure that I donate some of the proceeds to a local charity.

Originally my aim was to build up a network of 'houndie' parents but as my business has grown I have met lots of other 'doggy' parents who have joined me on my Facebook page. So now this is The Longdog Shop - not just for Long Dogs!!
I aim to answer any queries as soon as possible and offer the best Customer Service that I can.
I'm a small business with lack of space so decided to work through the summer to make up my available stock.
All raincoats and fleece can be made in so many colours that I can't stock all the material or show you everything available but if you have any ideas of what you want, that you can't see, please ask. If I haven't got the size or colour that you want in stock I will do my best to get it for you as soon as physically possible, because, if you are like me, you are impatient and need it NOW!!
I try to support charities as much as possible and if you are a charity that would like to buy some of my fleece and raincoats to sell on then please contact me for a discounted price.
I also love to see photographs of all my doggy customers that I can share in my Facebook albums. It makes my day!!

I dont normally write reviews. Quite honestly i just had too.Jane has been fantastic. I ordered a product paid and realised at 8pm that Id made a mistake. I needed a different size and colour messaged 8pm on a friday night not expecting any reply. I was so wrong by 8.30 the order was changed to exactly what i wanted. Even tbough it wasnt in stock, Jane sourced and despatched me exactly what i required on the monday. Why go anywhere else ? Well done, The Long Dog Shop deserves to go from strenth to strenth. I'm Jane and I'm owned by 2 rescue Greyhounds - George and Diamond. I found that once you become a hound owner you develop a passion for coats and collars. I am forever trying to keep them looking their best with their posh coats and collars, whilst also trying to keep them warm and dry. They are such sensitive souls.
I started by painting greyhounds and then thought what a lovely idea it would be to put these designs on their collars.
I designed the material and found Steve from Little Pink Dog Collars to make the collars for me.
I taught myself to sew during Lockdown 2020 and started to make fleece coats. I am now so busy that I just can't work fast enough for all my ideas and I have lots of customers with their own ideas that I am happy to try and accommodate.
Everything on here and in my EBay shop is tried and tested by either me or my trusty hounds and I won't recommend anything that I wouldn't use myself.
I will answer any email, Facebook messages or missed phone calls as soon as possible, if I am not available or it is outside working hours.
